Mike Rand in Fantasy Land

This was an entry I made back in 2016 to Ludum Dare 35 as part of the Jam.  It's a very unfinished 2D metroidvania.

Mike Rand was a coworker I had at the time, and there was some remark one of our leadership made, about how he was "living in fantasy land" because anywhere he sneezed, new contracts were just showing up, and business was good, and that became a short lived office meme.

The art for Mike was based on a caricature portrait they had made of the whole office, I think around 2011~ish, it's like a big poster that they had made with everyone in it.

This is an unfinished game, no sound, not much too do but go and raid a fortress, gain the double jump ability, and find a fourth heart container.  There is no sound, gamepads are supported, but keyboard controls are Arrows, Z, X, and Space.  The signs will tell you how to play.

Not super polished, not super juicy.  But the particle effects are fun.

It was written in C#, with monogame, and Spriter for the animations.
